NHS Trusts in WGA
This page is mainly aimed at NHS finance staff, but should be useful
for anybody interested in the extension of WGA to include NHS Trusts.
Primary Care Trusts are within the Department of Healths Resource
Accounting boundary and should follow the guidance issued by DH,
and DCM letters to the extent that they
apply.
More guidance and information will be added as the project progresses.
If you have any questions or concerns you can email
the WGA team
The inclusion of NHS trusts in WGA in Wales and Health and Social
Services Trusts in Northern Ireland will be the responsibility of
the devolved administrations. In Scotland we expect the process
of incorporating NHS Trusts within Health Boards to be completed
before we move to full WGA. Most of the information on this page
applies to English NHS Trusts but we have tried to include useful
information for authorities across the UK. We will try to put links
to guidance from devolved administrations on this page as they issue
it.
Guidance to NHS Trusts on WGA
The list of NHS Trusts and English, Scottish, Welsh & Northern
Irish local authorities we currently intend to include in WGA is
available from the CPID page.
(We currently expect that changes to the structure of the NHS in
Scotland will mean no NHS Trusts are to be designated from 2004/05.
In Northern Ireland the designation of Health and Social Services
Trusts is a matter for the Northern Ireland Executive.)
